Placement Manager (Broking)

This is the ideal opportunity if you have a strong background in broking but want to move away from the client side and focus much more on your skills in market negotiations.

Here you'll be based in the heart of Scotland's broking market in Glasgow with a remit for managing the placement and insurer relations for this major broking group.

Day to day you'll be…

• Marketing commercial risks to key panel insurers for new business
• Meeting with your insurer contacts for regular and strategic reviews
• Preparing market documentation, supported by your handling teams
• Preparing policies where appropriate and send to Account/Development Executives for their input
• Reviewing submissions from producers, ensuring all information is accurate before going out to the market
• Broking to local as well as some international and Lloyd's markets
• Ensuring that all market documentation is closed in a timely and appropriate manner
• Using your skills as a Broker to hold competent and technical conversations with insurers

Ideally, you'll have a background in a technical broking capacity and enjoy the negotiation and relationship building that comes with insurer relations.

You'll have string commercial insurance knowledge across most main classes and have an eye for detail.

The team work on a hybrid basis with 2 days in the office per week and 3 from home.

The package includes a base salary of up to £55,000 plus expensive benefits such as PMI and enhanced pension contributions.
